RDB warns public against fraudsters impersonating the agency

Share with Others

The Rwanda Development Board (RDB) has issued a warning to the public over individuals and organizations falsely claiming to represent the agency, particularly in connection with promotional activities for the Visit Rwanda tourism brand.

In a statement released on January 27, 2026, RDB said these impersonators are seeking personal gain or collecting money illegally.

The agency emphasized that it “does not charge for services or information through unauthorized individuals or organizations.”

RDB reminded the public that all official communications and promotional activities are shared through its verified channels and social media platforms. Any fees for services are strictly handled according to RDB procedures.

The agency urged citizens to verify the identity of anyone claiming to act on its behalf and to report suspected fraudsters immediately via official phone lines, email, or through law enforcement authorities.
