The Rwanda Correctional Service (RCS) has simplified the process for sending money to inmates, introducing digital solutions aimed at improving service delivery in correctional facilities.
Starting March 22, 2026, families and members of the public can transfer funds to inmates via the eHuza platform at www.ehuza.rw, where users securely submit the required information online.
A mobile phone option has also been introduced: users can dial *920# and follow the on-screen prompts to send money directly from their phones.
CSP Sengabo H., RCS spokesperson, said the initiative will make it easier for inmates to receive financial support while enhancing the efficiency and transparency of services in correctional facilities.
The public is encouraged to adopt the new system, which RCS says is faster, safer, and more convenient, reducing the time and travel previously needed to send funds through traditional channels.
