The Secretary-General of the Rwanda Patriotic Front (RPF-Inkotanyi), Christophe Bazivamo, has urged Rwandans living in Europe, particularly young people, to use their knowledge and experience to contribute to Rwanda’s development and help the country achieve its ambition of becoming a high-income nation by 2050.

President Paul Kagame has presided over the swearing-in of four officials appointed to new positions: Uwacu Julienne as Minister of Public Service and Labour, Uwizeye Judith as a Senator, Claudette Mukashyaka as Auditor General of State Finances and Kubwimana Gratien as Deputy Auditor General of State Finances.

Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Amb. Olivier Nduhungirehe, has accused Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) President Félix Tshisekedi of hypocrisy, pointing to what he described as contradictory remarks about international relations and Rwanda’s alleged role in the security crisis in eastern Congo.

Rwanda and Russia are seeking to expand cooperation in several sectors, including education, healthcare, agriculture, mining, research and industry, with a focus on increasing investment opportunities and sharing expertise and technology, particularly nuclear technology.

Edouard Bamporiki has pledged to safeguard the trust President Paul Kagame has placed in him following his appointment as Executive Secretary of Unity Club Intwararumuri, while Julienne Uwacu has returned to government as Minister of Public Service and Labour after eight years away from cabinet.

Rwanda’s Prime Minister, Dr Justin Nsengiyumva, has arrived in Moscow to represent President Paul Kagame at the third Russia–Africa Summit, where leaders are expected to explore new opportunities for cooperation in trade, investment, energy and technology.
