The initiative promotes arts, education, and health, while bringing world-class performers to African audiences.
Doja Cat, whose real name is Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, thrilled the crowd with her signature style, energetic choreography, and interactive stage presence. Gates opened at 4:00 pm, with fans arriving early to take photos and soak up the pre-show excitement. Some even skipped work to prepare for the event, dressing in outfits inspired by the artist.
By 6:00 pm, DJ Ira had energized the audience, setting the stage for Doja Cat, who took over at 9:00 pm with a high-octane performance lasting over 90 minutes. She performed hits from her 2025 album VIE, including “Agora Hills,” “Ain’t Shit,” “Streets,” “Tia Tamera,” “Like That,” and fan favorites such as “Say So” and “Boss Bitch.” Her dynamic performance included floor routines, interactive moments with fans, and high-energy dance numbers that kept the audience captivated.

At the finale, Doja Cat handed out flowers to fans, thanking them for the warm welcome and the love she received from Kigali and Africa during her debut continental performance.
Hugh Evans, CEO of Global Citizen, praised Rwanda for hosting the event, highlighting the continent’s vibrant fan base. “Tonight we celebrate the incredible energy of African music,” he said, noting that Kigali is the perfect city to launch Move Afrika and bring global artists closer to African audiences.
The concert was attended by Jeannette Kagame, who joined fans in celebrating a spectacular evening of music, creativity, and cultural exchange.
