Gospel artist Prosper Nkomezi and his wife Nkurunziza Retina have been officially welcomed and prayed for at Shalom Covenant Church in the United States, in a ceremony marking their formal integration into the church fellowship where they will be worshipping and serving.
The ceremony, led by Rev. Kiruhura Eugene, was marked by prayers, thanksgiving, and blessings for the couple’s marriage and new life chapter abroad. Church leaders described their arrival as a joyful moment for the congregation and prayed for divine guidance, protection, and open doors in their journey.
In his remarks, Rev. Kiruhura expressed delight at receiving the couple, emphasizing that the church was committed to supporting and praying for their marriage as they settle into a new environment.
Nkomezi and his wife also addressed the congregation, expressing gratitude for the warm reception and reflecting on their wedding journey, which they described as a testimony of faith and perseverance.
Nkomezi highlighted the challenges he faced in obtaining travel documentation, saying it required repeated attempts before success, which he attributed to divine intervention. His wife also thanked the church and family members for their support, noting the smooth progression of their wedding preparations and ceremony.
The event brought together church members and family representatives, and concluded with a prayer session and laying on of hands by church leaders, committing the couple’s marriage and future to divine guidance.
Nkomezi recently relocated to the United States, joining his wife who was already residing there with her family. The couple is expected to continue their personal and ministry journey together while based abroad.

Retina’s mother expressed gratitude, commending the couple for the significant milestone they have achieved in their journey together.
