Olivier Nduhungirehe has held high-level talks with Saudi Foreign Minister H.H. Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud in Riyadh, focusing on strengthening bilateral cooperation between Rwanda and Saudi Arabia.
The meeting took place on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, during Nduhungirehe’s official working visit to the Kingdom.
He also conveyed a message from President Paul Kagame to Saudi Crown Prince H.R.H. Mohammed bin Salman, underscoring continued diplomatic engagement between the two countries.
Discussions focused on expanding cooperation in key sectors, including investment, infrastructure development, and energy.
Rwanda and Saudi Arabia have in recent years strengthened ties anchored in economic diplomacy and development cooperation. Through the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), Rwanda has secured financing to expand electricity access to around 60,000 households in Muhanga, Kamonyi, and Gakenke districts.
Saudi Arabia also remains a growing market for Rwandan agricultural exports, particularly fruits and vegetables, reflecting expanding trade links between the two countries.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepen cooperation, aligning Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 with Rwanda’s long-term development ambitions.
