Young footballers from PSG Academy Rwanda delivered standout performances at the 2026 PSG Academies World Cup, winning medals and individual awards in a tournament that brought together top youth academies from across the globe.
Rwanda’s U11 boys’ team finished as runners-up to claim a silver medal after an impressive campaign defined by discipline, skill and strong teamwork.
The U13 boys’ side also secured silver after reaching the final and emerging among the tournament’s best-performing teams.
In the girls’ U15 category, PSG Academy Rwanda earned a bronze medal after finishing third in a fiercely contested competition featuring elite youth sides from different countries.
Rwandan players also dominated individual accolades at the tournament.
Ineza Ange Landry starred in the U13 boys’ category after scoring 17 goals to finish as the tournament’s top scorer.
In the girls’ U15 division, Aimée Irinatwe netted nine goals to win the Golden Boot award in her category.
The strong showing by PSG Academy Rwanda is being hailed as another milestone for youth football development in the country, underlining the growing impact of investing in young talent and providing exposure to international competition.
