RSSB Tigers basketball team toured Kigali City on Saturday, June 13, 2026, parading their Basketball Africa League (BAL 2026) trophy in a vibrant celebration that culminated in a fan-filled concert at the Kigali Convention Centre.

The parade followed the team’s historic triumph, making RSSB Tigers the first Rwandan club to win the Basketball Africa League since its inception.

The victory procession began in Nyamirambo and brought together players, club officials, Minister of Sports Nelly Mukazayire, and RSSB Director General Régis Rugemanshuro.

The caravan passed through key parts of the city, including Club Rafiki, Kimisagara, Nyabugogo, Muhima, the City Centre, SOPETRADE, and Remera, before ending at the Kigali Convention Centre, where thousands of fans gathered to celebrate the milestone.

The celebrations featured high-energy performances from leading Rwandan artists, including Kenny Sol, Juno Kizigenza, Bull Dogg, Angell Mutoni, Ariel Wayz, and Kivumbi King, drawing a largely youthful crowd of basketball and music enthusiasts.

The event concluded with fireworks lighting up the Kigali skyline, symbolising national pride and marking RSSB Tigers’ landmark achievement on the continental stage.

Out of six BAL editions held so far, Rwanda has hosted the finals five times, but had never produced a champion until RSSB Tigers broke the record in their debut appearance in the competition.
