The Rwanda Development Board (RDB) has suspended the gambling licence of Baron Sports Gaming Ltd, operator of Forzza Bet, citing violations of regulations governing gambling activities in Rwanda.

The suspension, announced on Thursday, July 30, 2026, takes immediate effect and applies to all Forzza Bet operations, including its betting outlets, agents’ activities and online platforms.

RDB directed the company to immediately cease all gambling operations in the country, stop advertising its services and remove promotional materials, including branding and signboards.

The regulator said the decision was based on findings that the company had repeatedly engaged in casino activities that were not included in the scope of its approved gambling licence, contrary to the country’s gambling laws.

“RDB, in accordance with its legal mandate to regulate gambling activities, has suspended the gambling licence of Baron Sports Gaming Ltd (Forzza), effective from the date of this announcement,” the agency said.

RDB warned the public against participating in any gambling activities operated by Forzza Bet following the suspension, noting that any continued operations would be considered unlawful and subject to penalties under applicable laws.

The agency further reminded all licensed gambling operators to strictly adhere to the terms and conditions of their licences, stressing that unauthorized activities or operations outside approved categories are prohibited.

RDB said it will continue strengthening oversight of the gambling sector to ensure compliance with regulations, protect consumers and promote responsible gaming practices in Rwanda.
