APR FC will visit Etincelles FC in the seventh round of Rwanda’s 2026/27 BK Pro League, with both sides targeting all three points at Umuganda Stadium in Rubavu.
The match is scheduled for Saturday, October 31, 2026, at 3 p.m., as APR FC looks to regain its momentum in the league following its elimination from the CAF Champions League by Egypt’s Zamalek.
APR FC head coach Abderrahim Taleb said his team had shifted its focus to domestic league action, with the immediate objective of defeating Etincelles and remaining in contention for the title.
“Our focus is now entirely on the league. We respect Etincelles, but APR FC must always fight for victory. We want to perform well and remain in the title race,” he said.
Etincelles FC, meanwhile, are determined to secure a positive result in front of their home supporters. Head coach Bekeni said his team was not intimidated by APR FC and was ready to compete for victory.
Speaking to Isano Radio after training on October 29, 2026, Bekeni noted that facing APR FC was nothing new for his side and there was no reason to fear the visitors.
“This is not the first time we are playing against APR, nor is it the first time we are facing them when they are in strong form. If they come here and beat us, that would be an unusual result in this league. We are preparing as a team that wants to win,” he said.
The coach also challenged the perception that APR FC are unbeatable, arguing that despite having well-known players, both teams field 11 players on the pitch.
“APR FC were not created to beat Etincelles FC,” he said.
Etincelles will also draw confidence from their previous victory over APR FC at Umuganda Stadium. In a meeting between the two sides in April 2026, Etincelles claimed a 2–1 win.
