Rwandan peacekeepers serving under the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) provided medical services to about 200 residents of Bossembele on October 31, 2026.
The outreach was conducted by Rwandan troops deployed in the area as part of their efforts to support local communities.
The Commander of RWABAT-2, Lt Col Aloys Karengera, joined Bossembele District Mayor Beatrice and the town’s mayor, Aristide Semungoro, during the exercise.
About 200 residents received medical consultations and medicines after being screened for various illnesses.
The team also conducted health awareness sessions, educating residents on preventing common diseases, including malaria, maintaining personal hygiene and preventing dental problems.
