Rwandan rapper B-Threy has released his fifth studio album, ‘Muheto 3 Mutara’, expanding a discography that has established him as one of the notable voices in Rwanda’s hip-hop scene.
The 10-track project was released on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, featuring a mix of solo performances and collaborations. The album includes ‘Ninde’, ‘Shine’, ‘Nkomeye’, ‘Nzagukumbura’, ‘N’Ibi’, ‘Holo’, ‘Iriba’, ‘Papa & Mama’, ‘I Know’ and ‘Byose’.
B-Threy, whose real name is Muheto Bertrand, collaborated with Kid From Kigali on ‘I Know’ and Red Ink on ‘Byose’.
The release comes about a month after he dropped ‘Ninde’ as a single, giving fans an early preview of the new project.
‘Muheto 3 Mutara’ is B-Threy’s fifth album, following ‘Nyamirambo’, ‘2040’, released in 2019, ‘Muheto wa Mbere’, released in 2022, and ‘Muheto wa Kabiri’, released in 2024.
The albums are complemented by two EPs: ‘Shwiii Dah!’, released in 2020, and ‘For Life’, released in 2023.
B-Threy began gaining wider recognition in Rwanda’s hip-hop scene through his distinctive sound and collaborations with fellow rapper Bushali. The two artists became associated with the Kinyatrap style, helping bring a distinct Rwandan identity to trap music.
With ‘Muheto 3 Mutara’, B-Threy continues a series of projects built around the ‘Muheto’ title while adding a new chapter to his evolving musical career.
