APR BBC has re-signed American guard Craig Randall ahead of the Rwanda Basketball League playoffs as the club strengthens its squad in pursuit of the national title and qualification for the 2027 Basketball Africa League (BAL).
The winner of the Rwanda Basketball League will earn the right to represent the country in the 2027 BAL.
The 30-year-old Leonard Craig Randall II returns to APR after a remarkable spell with RSSB Tigers BBC, whom he helped win the 2026 BAL title. His outstanding performances throughout the tournament earned him the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award.
Randall had initially joined APR BBC with the expectation of featuring in the 2026 BAL. However, the military side later withdrew from the competition and was replaced by RSSB Tigers, who had qualified after winning the 2025 Rwanda Cup.
Following APR’s withdrawal, RSSB Tigers recruited several APR players for their continental campaign, including Randall, who played a pivotal role in the club’s historic BAL triumph.
APR has also strengthened its roster by signing Senegalese center Mouhamadou Diagne, who is expected to add size and experience to the team’s frontcourt during the playoffs.
APR has one regular-season game remaining, which is also the final fixture before the playoffs begin. The team will face RSSB Tigers on Friday, July 24, with the result set to determine the final standings.
Although the four playoff teams have already been confirmed—APR BBC, Patriots BBC, REG BBC and RSSB Tigers BBC—the final seeding remains to be decided.
