Rwandan music star Bruce Melodie is set to deepen his East African footprint after confirming an upcoming collaboration with Tanzanian heavyweight Alikiba.
The development emerged on Thursday, March 19, 2026, when Bruce Melodie shared photos on social media alongside Alikiba, describing their meeting as both symbolic and strategic for the region’s music growth.
“It’s always a blessing to meet my brother, Alikiba. Together, we will continue to elevate East African music on the international stage,” he wrote.
Sources indicate the two artists recently linked up in Tanzania, where Bruce Melodie had travelled for promotional engagements of his track Pom Pom, a collaboration featuring Diamond Platnumz and Brown Joel.
Images circulating online show Alikiba hosting the Rwandan star in his studio, with insiders suggesting the pair finalized a joint project expected to drop in the coming days.
The anticipated release underscores Bruce Melodie’s ongoing strategy to scale beyond Rwanda and tap into regional and global markets. Beyond the Alikiba project, the singer is also lining up another high-profile collaboration with Nigerian artist Oxlade, best known for his breakout hit Ku Lo Sa.
Bruce Melodie has increasingly positioned himself as a regional collaborator, having previously worked with Tanzanian stars including Diamond Platnumz and Harmonize—a trend that continues to shape East Africa’s cross-border music influence.
