Partners in Bugesera District have been praised for their continued contribution to local development and the improvement of residents’ livelihoods, as authorities highlighted the value of strong collaboration between government and stakeholders.

The recognition was made on June 26, 2026, by Bugesera District Mayor Mutabazi Richard during the closing of a three-day trade fair held in Nyamata Sector.

The annual exhibition, organised by the Bugesera Joint Action Development Forum (JADF), brought together 71 exhibitors from the private sector and service delivery institutions, showcasing products, innovations, and services aimed at supporting local development.

Mayor Mutabazi commended the growing partnership between the district and its stakeholders, noting that joint planning, implementation, and evaluation have been central to Bugesera’s development progress.

He urged continued collaboration, stressing that the district’s achievements are the result of coordinated efforts between local government and development partners.

Mutabazi also encouraged citizens to actively engage leaders and seek clarification on service delivery, underscoring that Rwanda’s development approach places citizens at the centre of planning and accountability.

JADF Bugesera Chairperson Murenzi Emmanuel said partners remain committed to supporting development programmes and empowering communities through diverse initiatives.

He added that the trade fair serves not only as a commercial platform but also as a space for citizens to access information and better understand services provided within their communities.

According to JADF, partners in Bugesera contribute an estimated 6 billion Rwandan francs annually toward district development initiatives aimed at improving livelihoods and accelerating service delivery.

The event continues to bring together government institutions, private sector actors, and development partners, with a focus on boosting investment, strengthening trade, and expanding access to quality goods and services for residents.
