The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed a team of Cameroonian match officials to oversee the first-leg clash between APR FC and Zamalek SC in the second round of the CAF Champions League.
The match is scheduled for October 16, 2026, at Amahoro Stadium, with Cameroonian referee Abdou Abdel Mefire appointed as the centre referee.
Mefire, who was named the best young referee at the 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN), will be assisted by compatriots Elvis Jay Noubou Ngoujo and Rodrigue Mini Mbli.
Antoine Max Isuma will serve as the fourth official.
CAF has also appointed Tanzanian Khalid Abdullah Mohammed as the match commissioner.
The return leg will be played at Cairo International Stadium on October 24, 2026.
APR FC reached the second round after eliminating DR Congo’s Les Aigle du Congo in the preliminary round, while Zamalek secured their place by knocking out Djibouti’s AS Port.
The Rwandan champions are continuing their preparations for the tie through a series of friendly matches. APR FC drew 1-1 with Amagaju before playing to a 2-2 draw against Mukura VS&L.
