Rwanda international goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari is set to join newly promoted South African top-flight side Kruger United on a season-long loan deal for the 2026/27 campaign as he seeks more regular playing time.
Ntwari’s move comes after struggling to secure a starting position at Kaizer Chiefs since joining the club from TS Galaxy SC last season.
According to South African football journalist Micky Jr, the loan agreement includes a provision for the 26-year-old goalkeeper to return to Kaizer Chiefs after one season.
Kruger United, who recently secured promotion to the South African Premier Soccer League from the second tier, are strengthening their squad ahead of their first season competing among the country’s elite clubs.
Since arriving at Kaizer Chiefs, Ntwari has faced challenges in breaking into the first team, with injuries also limiting his availability. His absence affected both club appearances and his involvement with Rwanda’s national team, Amavubi.
The goalkeeper rose through the ranks at Intare FC before joining APR FC, where he established himself as one of Rwanda’s promising talents. He later played for AS Kigali and Marines FC before moving to South Africa.
The loan spell at Kruger United offers Ntwari an opportunity to regain match fitness, secure consistent playing time, and strengthen his position in Rwanda’s national team setup.
