Rwandan music star King James has taken his 20th-anniversary celebrations to Europe, travelling to Belgium for the first international concert of a tour marking two decades in the music industry.

The singer, whose real name is Ruhumuriza James, left Kigali on Friday, August 21, 2026, ahead of his concert at Birmingham Palace in Brussels on Saturday, August 22.

The Brussels show is the first stop on a series of international performances planned as part of King James’ 20th-anniversary celebrations.

He is also scheduled to perform in Germany on August 29, followed by a concert in France as he takes the celebrations to Rwandan fans and other audiences across Europe.

King James travelled with two Rwandan entertainment journalists, Nzeyimana Lucky of Rwanda Broadcasting Agency (RBA) and Rusine Patrick of Kiss FM, who are accompanying him on the European leg of the tour.

The European shows come shortly after King James staged two major concerts in Rwanda, both of which filled BK Arena on consecutive days.

The sold-out home concerts marked the beginning of celebrations for a career that has made King James one of Rwanda’s most prominent contemporary musicians.

The 20th-anniversary tour is expected to continue beyond Europe, with the singer planning performances in other international destinations as he celebrates his two decades in music with fans at home and abroad.
