Rwandan children’s dance group Moriox Kids has travelled to Kyrgyzstan after receiving an invitation to perform at the closing ceremony of the 2026 World Nomad Games.
The group is expected to perform during the closing celebrations at the Cholpon-Ata Hippodrome, alongside artists and entertainers from different countries.
The World Nomad Games, which began on August 31, bring together countries through traditional sports and cultural performances. The 2026 edition will conclude on September 6.
Moriox Kids was invited by Kyrgyz artist Gulnaz Chynybek kyzy after the Rwandan group featured her song “Attin-ai” in one of its dance videos, helping the song gain wider attention.
The invitation gives the young performers an opportunity to represent Rwanda at an international cultural event while showcasing their talent to audiences from different countries.
The World Nomad Games are held every two years to promote traditional sports and preserve the cultural heritage of communities with nomadic traditions.
Moriox Kids was founded in 2021 by Kayitare Steven to bring children together through dance while also supporting their education.
The group has since built a following on social media through dance videos featuring songs by different artists, helping it gain visibility beyond Rwanda.
The Kyrgyzstan performance marks another international platform for Moriox Kids as it continues to promote Rwandan youth talent through dance.
