Munyankaka Ancilla has been appointed president of Rambura Women Football Club (Rambura WFC), which competes in Rwanda’s top-flight women’s football league.

She was confirmed in the position during the club’s general assembly held in Nyabihu District on October 8, 2026.

Munyankaka is no stranger to women’s football in Rwanda. She led Inyemera for 17 years, from 2006 to 2023, and also served as women’s football development commissioner at the Rwanda Football Federation (FERWAFA).

In 2006, she represented all women’s teams at FERWAFA’s general assembly, a role she held until 2017, when the federation recognised women’s teams as independent entities.

Inyemera won the league title in 2006 after defeating Gikongoro, then led by Hon. Bernard Makuza, in the final. At the time, the competition was organised into two groups, with the group winners meeting in the final.

Rambura WFC earned promotion to the top division in the 2025/2026 season after finishing second in the promotion play-offs. They lost 3-1 to Gakenke Ladies in the final.
