Musanze FC and Police FC played out a tense 0–0 draw on Saturday in a Rwanda Premier League encounter at Umuganda Stadium in Musanze District on May 9, 2026, in a match defined by missed chances and standout goalkeeping performances.

The fixture, part of the Rwanda Premier League matchday 31 schedule, brought together two sides struggling for consistency, each seeking a much-needed victory to strengthen their league position.

Police FC started strongly, dominating large spells of the first half and creating several clear scoring opportunities despite difficult playing conditions caused by earlier rainfall.

However, Musanze FC goalkeeper Nsabimana Jean de Dieu, popularly known as “Shaolin,” delivered an inspired performance, producing a series of crucial saves to deny the visitors and keep his side in contention.

After the break, Musanze FC responded with increased attacking pressure, forcing Police FC goalkeeper Niyongira Patience into multiple decisive saves to preserve the draw. His commanding display ultimately earned him the Man of the Match award.

Despite sustained pressure from both sides, neither team managed to break the deadlock, with the match ending in a goalless draw.

The result leaves Police FC in 6th place with 47 points, while Musanze FC remain 10th with 39 points as the league race continues.

Elsewhere in the league, Mukura VS defeated Gorilla FC 2–1, Gicumbi FC drew 1–1 with Bugesera FC, while attention turned to later fixtures involving Rayon Sports, Marines FC, APR FC and AS Kigali in a tight league campaign.
