Rayon Sports are looking to maintain their winning momentum when they face Al Hilal in the eighth round of the BK Pro League on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at Kigali Pelé Stadium.
Kick-off is scheduled for 6:30 pm, with both sides eager to secure maximum points after recent setbacks against Marine FC.
Rayon Sports head into the encounter on the back of a 2-1 victory over Marine FC in Rubavu, a result that extended their winning run to two league matches. They had previously beaten Musanze FC 3-0.
Cameroonian forward Herman Junior Kameni was the hero against Marine, scoring both goals to secure the victory at Stade Umuganda on Sunday.
The latest results have lifted morale at the Nyanza-based club, which had endured a difficult spell of eight consecutive matches without a win. Two successive league victories have given the team renewed confidence as it prepares for another demanding test.
However, Rayon Sports will also be seeking revenge against Al Hilal, which handed them a heavy 4-0 defeat in January 2026 during the league campaign.
The recent history between the two sides suggests another competitive encounter. Al Hilal won 4-0 in January, before the teams played out a 1-1 draw in February. Rayon Sports later claimed a 1-0 victory in the CECAFA Kagame Cup in August 2026.
Al Hilal, meanwhile, will be looking to restore its pride after suffering a 3-0 defeat to Marine FC in a rescheduled match from the second round of the BK Pro League.
That result adds further pressure on the Sudanese side to respond against Rayon Sports, setting the stage for a closely contested encounter between two teams with plenty to prove.
Kameni, who was named Man of the Match after his performance against Marine, acknowledged that Al Hilal would be a difficult opponent but insisted that Rayon Sports were targeting another victory.
The 24-year-old said the win over Marine had earned the team valuable points, but stressed the need to maintain the same determination against one of the league’s strongest sides.
“It is a tough match, but we have to win,” he said.
He added that the team must build on its recent success and remain competitive against Al Hilal.
Rayon Sports will be playing their fifth league match of the season. They have collected seven points from their first four games.
