The Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) on Tuesday received a delegation of 15 officers from the Nigerian National Defence College at its headquarters in Kimihurura, Kigali, as part of a six-day study tour of Rwanda.
The visiting officers are in Rwanda to explore the country’s experience in eco-tourism development and its broader national transformation agenda.
During the engagement, RDF officials highlighted Rwanda’s approach to promoting eco-tourism as a driver of sustainable economic growth, alongside key milestones in post-genocide recovery and national development planning.
The study tour is expected to provide the delegation with practical insights into how Rwanda has integrated environmental conservation, tourism development, and governance reforms into its long-term development strategy.
Rwanda has in recent years become a frequent destination for high-level study visits from military and civilian institutions interested in understanding its post-conflict reconstruction and development model.
