REG WBBC moved to the brink of the Rwanda Basketball League women’s title after beating The Hoops Rwanda 93-58 in Game 3 of the Cheetah Energy RBL Playoffs at BK Arena on Monday night.
The victory gave REG a 3-0 lead in the best-of-seven final series, leaving the defending champions just one win away from securing the championship.
Washington Delicia led REG’s dominant performance with 17 points, four rebounds, seven assists and five steals.
REG had already taken a 2-0 lead after beating The Hoops 77-48 in Game 2 on August 22.
The result puts REG in a strong position to reclaim the women’s league title, with The Hoops now needing to win Game 4 to keep the series alive.
Game 4 is scheduled for Wednesday, August 26, and could be the decisive encounter if REG secure another victory.
REG won the women’s league title in 2024 after defeating APR in the final, while APR remain the most successful team in the competition’s history.
