Rwanda, Pakistan strengthen trade ties during Rwanda Coffee Festival

Rwanda’s Minister of Trade and Industry, Prudence Sebahizi, held high-level talks with Pakistan’s Minister of Investment, Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh, on Thursday, January 29, 2026, aimed at boosting trade and private sector collaboration between the two countries.

The discussions focused on creating new investment opportunities, expanding trade, and fostering cooperation in agriculture, industry, and international commerce.

During her visit to Islamabad, Minister Sebahizi also took part in the Rwanda Coffee Festival, an event highlighting the quality and uniqueness of Rwandan coffee to the Pakistani market. The festival was officially opened alongside Pakistan’s Minister of Commerce, Jam Kamal Khan.

Minister Sebahizi emphasized Rwanda’s commitment to promoting high-quality agricultural products and connecting Rwandan and Pakistani businesses to drive sustainable growth.

Minister Jam Kamal Khan noted the strong potential for Rwandan coffee in Pakistan, saying the festival was a key step in strengthening trade and economic ties. He affirmed Pakistan’s readiness to support Rwandan products and expand bilateral investment, underscoring the long-standing partnership between the two nations.
