Rwanda’s U15 national football team, Amavubi U15, is travelling to Baku, Azerbaijan, on Wednesday to participate in the FIFA U-15 World Cup Festival scheduled for October 22–30, 2026.
Before their departure, the team, led by head coach Thierry Hitimana, received a visit from Rwanda’s senior national team coach, Stephen Constantine, who offered advice on how to conduct themselves and perform well during the competition.
Constantine reminded the young players that they would be representing Rwanda and its population of more than 14 million people. He urged them to demonstrate good behaviour, commitment and discipline throughout the tournament.
“You are going to represent Rwanda and 14 million people. The results will come, but first and foremost, we need good behaviour, commitment and discipline,” he said.
Amavubi U15 have been placed in Group Y alongside Côte d’Ivoire, Vanuatu, Albania, Turks and Caicos Islands, and Mauritania.
