Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Amb. Olivier Nduhungirehe, has extended a warm welcome to delegates from 93 countries who will attend the 46th session of the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF) conference.
The summit set to take place in Kigali, Rwanda, from November 19 to 21, 2025.
This high-level gathering will be held under the theme: “Thirty years after the Beijing Conference: the role of women in the Francophone space.”
Through his official account on X, Minister Amb. Nduhungirehe reaffirmed Rwanda’s readiness to host the participants from across the Francophone world.
“All delegations from the 93 States and governments of OIFrancophonie, full members, associates, and observers, are welcome to the Land of a Thousand Hills.” he posted.
The Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF) was established in March 1970, with Rwanda joining as a member that same year.
Currently, the Secretary General of the organization is Rwandan Louise Mushikiwabo, who was elected by the heads of member states in 2018 and officially took office in January 2019. She was re-elected for a second term in November 2022.
