Prime Minister Dr. Justin Nsengiyumva arrived in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, where he represented President Paul Kagame at the swearing-in ceremony of re-elected President Alassane Ouattara.

Upon arrival, he was received by his counterpart, Robert Beugré Mambé, the Prime Minister of Côte d’Ivoire.

Alassane Dramane Ouattara, 83, won the October presidential election and is set to begin his fourth term in office.

He secured 89.77% of the vote, defeating his challengers by a wide margin.

His closest contenders included former Trade Minister Jean-Louis Billon, who conceded defeat and garnered 3.09% of the vote, followed by Simone Gbagbo — the former First Lady and wife of ex-President Laurent Gbagbo — who received 2.42%, according to the announcement by the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Ibrahime Coulibaly-Kuibiert.
