The Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) and Rwanda National Police, in partnership with other agencies, are set to roll out a series of initiatives aimed at improving citizen welfare and supporting community development.

The programs, scheduled to start on Monday, March 9, 2026, will run under the theme: “Partnership of Citizens, RDF and Police in Celebrating Liberation Day 32.”

These annual initiatives are part of the security forces’ efforts to contribute to development and enhance living conditions across the country, in line with the upcoming Liberation Day, celebrated on July 4. This year marks the 32nd anniversary of the holiday.

The activities, planned to last three months from March to July, will cover all districts and focus on key areas including healthcare, livestock farming, housing for vulnerable families, school construction, water supply, bridge building, environmental protection, and other community-centered projects.

The RDF and Police’s participation in these initiatives is guided by the legal mandate for security institutions to support national development and citizen welfare.
