Kigali Pelé Stadium has undergone a major facelift as Rwanda finalizes preparations to host the FIFA Series, with just days left before kickoff.
The tournament marks a historic milestone, as Rwanda becomes the first African country to host the FIFA Series, bringing together national teams from different continents for international friendly matches.
A visit to the stadium on Tuesday confirmed that preparations are nearing completion, with visible upgrades across the facility. At the time, the Aruba national football team was conducting a light training session to recover from a long journey, having arrived in Kigali on the night of March 23.
The stadium has been fitted with new branding to reflect the tournament, alongside the installation of digital screens displaying promotional content—features not previously common at the venue.
Additional improvements include a newly installed pitch-side carpet, upgraded goalposts, and fresh paint applied throughout the stadium, giving it a renewed and modern look.
All participating teams have now arrived in Kigali, with the exception of Tanzania national football team, which is expected to land later on Tuesday.
Under Group B fixtures scheduled at Kigali Pelé Stadium, Aruba will face Macau national football team at 13:30 on Thursday, followed by a match between Tanzania and Liechtenstein national football team at 16:30.
