Nyamagabe District has officially launched a new digital platform known as “Mbaza”, designed to strengthen communication between residents and local authorities by enabling faster submission and follow-up of community issues.
The system was launched on Tuesday during a public meeting held in Rususa Cell, Kamegeri Sector, chaired by the Mayor of Nyamagabe, Hildebrand Niyomwungeri.
“Mbaza” is intended to simplify how citizens report concerns and track their resolution, using mobile-based technology to improve efficiency and responsiveness in public service delivery.
Mayor Niyomwungeri urged residents to embrace the platform, noting that it allows them to submit complaints directly from their phones and ensures quicker handling by relevant authorities.
He said the system will enhance accountability and reduce delays in addressing community challenges by improving communication between citizens and local leadership.
He also encouraged residents to continue contributing to the community-based health insurance scheme (Mutuelle de Santé), stressing its role in improving access to healthcare services.
In addition, he called on residents to update their information in the Imibereho system, particularly where discrepancies exist, to ensure accurate data for planning and service delivery.
Residents welcomed the initiative, saying it will make it easier to report issues and receive timely responses from authorities.
