RwandAir has been named winner of the 2026 APEX Best Awards for outstanding in-flight service in Africa, recognizing its performance in delivering quality passenger experience onboard.
The award was announced during the APEX FTE EMEA 2026 conference held in Dublin, Ireland, where airlines were assessed across multiple service categories.
The APEX Best Awards are based on anonymous passenger feedback collected after flights, evaluating key areas including cabin service, food and beverages, in-flight entertainment and connectivity.
For the 2026 edition, the assessment drew on feedback from more than one million passengers who travelled across over 600 airlines worldwide.
RwandAir was recognized for its cabin crew professionalism, passenger care, onboard cleanliness, quality of meals and beverages, and consistent service delivery throughout the journey.
Passengers also highlighted the airline’s strong service culture and improved travel experience compared to several other carriers on the African continent.
The recognition adds to RwandAir’s growing list of international accolades, following its 2025 recognition among Africa’s leading airlines in the Skytrax rankings.
In recent years, the airline has continued to invest in fleet expansion, service improvement and operational safety.
RwandAir is currently expanding its route network connecting Kigali to destinations across Africa, Europe, the Middle East and Asia, reinforcing its position as a competitive African carrier in passenger service excellence.
