Gisagara Volleyball Club player Muvara Ronald has issued a formal apology to the club’s management following his suspension for indiscipline, which has kept him out of action for two months.
In a letter dated Sunday, June 21, 2026, Muvara, who plays as a middle blocker, admitted wrongdoing, expressed regret over his actions, and asked for forgiveness, pledging to improve his behavior.
The apology comes after Gisagara VC announced on Saturday, June 20, 2026, that two of its players—Muvara Ronald and setter Ngaboyintwari Cedric—had been suspended for misconduct.
The club said the decision followed their refusal to take part in a quarter-final match of the 2026 Genocide Memorial Volleyball Tournament against Police VC, a fixture that resulted in a forfeit defeat for the Southern Province-based side.
Reports indicate that the players’ decision not to feature in the match was linked to grievances over unpaid salaries for about four months, which contributed to internal tensions within the team.
Gisagara VC management has maintained that discipline and professionalism remain essential, particularly during official competitions.
Muvara’s apology is seen as a step toward possible reconciliation, although the club has not yet announced whether the suspension will be lifted or reviewed.
