Rwanda’s national football team, the Amavubi, has announced a 24-man squad for upcoming international friendly matches in June 2026, headlined by former Manchester United academy forward Noam Fritz Emeran.
The squad was unveiled by head coach Stephen Constantine ahead of fixtures against Comoros and Tanzania as part of preparations for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualification campaign.
Emeran, who currently plays for FC Groningen in the Netherlands, was developed in the Manchester United youth system and is expected to add depth and creativity to Rwanda’s attacking line.
The call-up also rewards in-form Kiyovu Sports striker Fidali Uwiyaremye, who earns his first senior national team selection after scoring 11 goals in the domestic league this season.
Mbonyumwami Taiba also returns to the squad following an impressive domestic campaign that has seen him among the league’s top scorers.
However, the team will be without several key players due to injuries and fitness concerns, including defender Thierry Manzi, forwards Joy Lance Mickels and Leroy Jacques Mickels, Hakim Sahabo, and goalkeeper Ntwari Fiacre, who has also struggled for regular club minutes.
APR FC dominates the selection with six players included in the squad.
