Journalist Anne Niwemwiza has marked her husband Martin Nyilijabo’s birthday with a deeply emotional message shared on the social media platform X, describing him as an exceptional man and a pillar in her life.

On the morning of the birthday, Anne posted a lengthy tribute originally written in French, in which she expressed admiration, gratitude, and affection for her husband, portraying him as a man of strong character and enduring love.

In her message, she referred to Nyilijabo as a “special soul who came to illuminate the world,” praising him as a devoted father and an extraordinary partner.

She wrote: “Today, the universe celebrates a special soul who came to bring light into the world. You are a man of incomparable value, a wonderful father, and an exceptional partner.”

She added that she prays for him to continue receiving love, strength, and integrity in return for what he consistently gives to others, while also wishing him good health and peace.

Anne concluded her message with a personal note of affection, saying: “Happy birthday, my love. I love you more than words can express.”

Martin Nyilijabo and Anne Niwemwiza got married in 2015 after meeting while studying journalism at the Catholic Institute of Kabgayi (ICK).

Nyilijabo, a former Radio Rwanda journalist, currently works at the National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda (NISR) as a data quality control specialist. Niwemwiza, who gained recognition at KT Radio, now works with the BBC’s Kenya bureau.
