The Chief of Defence Staff of the Rwanda Defence Forces (RDF), Gen. MK Mubarakh Muganga, has called on soldiers who recently completed military training in Nasho to continue demonstrating discipline, exemplary conduct, and professionalism, emphasizing that these are core values of the RDF.

He made these remarks on Monday, 22 December 2025, while attending the graduation ceremony held at the Nasho Military Centre in Kirehe District, which was attended by senior RDF officials.

In his speech, Gen. Mubarakh thanked the graduating soldiers for their dedication and perseverance during the training, commending them for their conduct and professionalism. He urged them to carry these values into their daily duties.

“Discipline must come first in everything we do. We are a military that upholds integrity and exemplary conduct. These values are the foundation of everything else,” he said.

The Chief of Defence Staff also encouraged the soldiers to apply the knowledge and skills gained during the training in protecting the country’s sovereignty and addressing any emerging security challenges.

The graduation ceremony featured a range of military exercises that showcased the soldiers’ skills and competencies. These included combat tactics, field exercises, and shooting drills, demonstrating the brigade’s operational capabilities in both combat and security operations.

Such training programs are designed to enhance soldiers’ knowledge and skills, enabling them to effectively fulfill their responsibilities in safeguarding national security and performing missions abroad.
