Global social media sensation IShowSpeed has arrived in Rwanda as part of his ongoing African tour, touching down on the night of Friday, January 10, 2026.

Soon after his arrival, the American content creator traveled to Volcanoes National Park, where he visited the iconic mountain gorillas, one of Rwanda’s most renowned natural treasures and a major global tourism attraction.

Sharing updates via Snapchat, IShowSpeed expressed excitement about being in the park and revealed his readiness to hike the Virunga Mountains.

The influencer, who commands a massive following among young audiences worldwide, is also expected to attend the Super Cup finals set for this Saturday at Amahoro Stadium. The fixtures will see Rayon Sports Women face Indahangarwa, while Rayon Sports Men take on rivals APR FC.

IShowSpeed’s visit is part of his “Speed Does Africa Tour,” which has seen him spend nearly 10 days traveling across several African nations. Prior to arriving in Rwanda, he visited South Africa, Angola, Eswatini, Mozambique, Botswana, and Zimbabwe.

While in Botswana, IShowSpeed publicly stated that visiting Rwanda’s mountain gorillas was high on his itinerary, a plan he put into action immediately after arriving in the country. He had earlier noted that the visit would not be livestreamed due to filming challenges posed by the park’s dense forest.

His presence in Rwanda has drawn significant attention online, adding to the country’s growing profile as a top destination for tourism, sports, and international entertainment.
