Paul Kagame attended the UEFA Champions League semi-final first leg held at Parc des Princes in Paris.
The match, played on April 28, 2026, saw Paris Saint-Germain edge Bayern Munich 5–4 in a thrilling encounter.
In a statement posted on X, the President’s Office confirmed that Kagame attended the high-profile fixture, noting that PSG—an official partner of the Visit Rwanda campaign—secured the win.
The Rwandan Head of State was among prominent guests at the match and was seen alongside PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
PSG’s victory was driven by Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Ousmane Dembélé, who each scored twice, while João Neves added the fifth goal.
Paris Saint-Germain is a key partner of the Visit Rwanda initiative, a collaboration aimed at promoting Rwanda internationally and boosting tourism.
