President Paul Kagame and First Lady Jeannette Kagame on Friday evening hosted Francine LeFrak and her delegation in Kigali, as part of an ongoing study visit to Rwanda.
According to the Office of the President, the delegation includes leaders from sectors such as education, housing, law, arts, finance, media, philanthropy, and technology—some of whom are visiting Rwanda for the first time.
The visit is aimed at offering firsthand insight into Rwanda’s history, particularly its recovery and reconstruction following the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, as well as the country’s socio-economic transformation anchored on inclusive governance.
Officials say the engagement underscores growing global interest in Rwanda’s development trajectory, especially its emphasis on unity, resilience, and sustainable growth.
The visiting team is led by the Francine LeFrak Foundation, a United States-based initiative focused on advancing philanthropy and expanding opportunities. Its work includes promoting access to education, supporting sustainable development, advancing gender equality and women’s leadership, as well as fostering arts, culture, and cross-sector partnerships.
