Kigali is set for a major transformation with the construction of Parklane Center, a 25-storey skyscraper located near the Kigali Convention Centre. The building will feature a skybridge connecting it to the convention center and will sit between Kigali Heights (YYUSSA Plaza) and the convention hub.
The mixed-use development will host a five-star hotel, office spaces, and commercial facilities across 74,000 square meters. Ten floors will be dedicated to offices, while eight floors will accommodate business activities, including the luxury hotel.
Eng. Antonio Azevedo, President of Parklane Center Ltd, described the project as a model development that will set new standards for services, sustainability, and operational excellence.
“This hotel will not only welcome local and international guests but will also position Kigali as a key destination for investment, diplomacy, and tourism,” he said.
Construction is a joint venture between Parklane Group and Mota-Engil Africa and officially began on January 15, 2026. Government officials, including State Secretary Amb. Jean de Dieu Uwihanganye, have praised the project as transformative, promising to boost infrastructure, create jobs, and contribute to Rwanda’s Vision 2050.
