President Paul Kagame on Thursday received a delegation from Samruk-Kazyna, Kazakhstan’s sovereign wealth fund that oversees state-owned enterprises, led by CEO Nurlan Zhakupov, at Village Urugwiro.
The meeting focused on strengthening Rwanda-Kazakhstan cooperation, particularly agreements recently signed to develop the country’s mineral value chains.
Last May, Rwanda and Kazakhstan signed agreements spanning diplomacy, technology, education, agriculture, finance, and mining. Key provisions include collaboration in space research, increasing bilateral trade, visa exemptions for diplomats, and joint initiatives in renewable energy and sustainable natural resource management.
The talks underline Rwanda’s commitment to expanding international partnerships that drive economic growth and sustainable development.
