Rwanda’s Prime Minister, Dr. Justin Nsengiyumva, met with Côte d’Ivoire’s President, Alassane Ouattara, delivering a special message on behalf of Rwandan President Paul Kagame.
Dr. Nsengiyumva arrived in Abidjan, the Ivorian capital, on Sunday, December 8, to represent President Kagame at the inauguration ceremony of President Ouattara, who was re-elected for a fourth term following the October 27, 2025 elections, winning 89% of the vote.
On Monday, the Prime Minister joined other heads of state and government officials at the inauguration ceremony, celebrating President Ouattara’s new term in office. Following the event, he held bilateral talks with President Ouattara, personally delivering President Kagame’s message.
Rwanda and Côte d’Ivoire share a strong partnership grounded in economic cooperation, security, and overall development. Both countries continue to collaborate in promoting trade and creating opportunities that connect their citizens.
Earlier in 2025, on May 12, President Kagame visited Abidjan to attend the Africa CEO Forum, where he held discussions with President Ouattara focused on enhancing economic collaboration and investment between the two nations.
