The 2026-2027 Rwanda National Volleyball League will officially begin on October 16, with the men’s and women’s competitions set to return as clubs battle for national honours.

The start date was confirmed during the General Assembly of the Rwanda Volleyball Federation (FRVB) held on Saturday, August 8, and chaired by federation president Raphaël Ngarambe.

The assembly also reviewed the 2025-2026 season, including the federation’s financial report and its programme of activities for the upcoming campaign.

The new season will see clubs compete for the titles previously won by REG VC in the men’s division and APR WVC in the women’s division.

Last season, nine teams competed in the men’s league, while seven teams took part in the women’s competition.

The October 16 start gives participating clubs time to prepare for a new campaign, with REG VC and APR WVC entering the season as defending champions.

The Rwanda National Volleyball League is organised by the FRVB, the country’s governing body for volleyball.
