Rwanda is showcasing its premium coffee at the Rwanda Coffee Festival 2026 in Pakistan, an initiative aimed at promoting the country’s high-quality coffee and strengthening economic diplomacy through trade and investment.

The festival was officially launched by Rwanda’s Minister of Trade and Industry, Prudence Sebahizi, together with Pakistan’s Minister of Commerce, Jam Kamal Khan. The event is organized by Rwanda as part of efforts to deepen bilateral economic cooperation between the two countries.

On the sidelines of the launch, the two ministers held high-level talks in Islamabad, focusing on expanding collaboration in strategic sectors including agro-processing, food security, textiles and leather products, health, agricultural technology, and other areas of mutual interest.

Rwanda is internationally recognized for its specialty coffee grown in high-altitude regions, known for its distinctive flavor, aroma, and consistent quality, which has positioned the country as a competitive player in the global coffee market.

The Rwanda Coffee Festival 2026 brings together government officials, Rwandan delegations, diplomatic representatives, coffee experts, traders, processors, investors, and other stakeholders across the coffee value chain, providing a platform for networking, knowledge exchange, and business partnerships.

In April 2025, Rwanda and Pakistan signed a bilateral cooperation agreement on diplomatic training, a move that further strengthened ties between the two countries and laid the groundwork for closer economic and trade relations.
