St Aloys Rwamagana (girls) and Gisagara Volleyball Academy (boys) have emerged champions of the 2025–2026 Rwanda National Volleyball Junior League.
The tournament, also known as the FRVB Junior League, concluded on Sunday, March 1, 2026, in Kigali.
In the girls’ category, St Aloys Rwamagana defeated St Bernadette 3-0 in the final to secure the championship. This marks the third time the school has lifted the junior league trophy, underscoring its dominance and skill in youth volleyball.
The contest for third place saw Lycée de Nyanza beat St Joseph of Kabgayi.
In the boys’ category, Gisagara Volleyball Academy claimed the title with a 3-1 victory over Petit Séminaire Virgo Fidelis, winning the trophy for the second consecutive year. Groupe Scolaire Officiel de Butare edged Nyanza TSS 3-2 in the third-place playoff in a tightly contested match.
The Junior League is an annual tournament organized in partnership between schools and the Rwanda Volleyball Federation (FRVB). This year’s edition, which started in October 2024, featured 19 teams—five girls’ teams and 14 boys’ teams—and aims to nurture talent and promote volleyball across Rwanda.
