Ugandan comedian and social media sensation Saad Ssozi, popularly known as Rango Tenge Tenge, has arrived in Rwanda ahead of his scheduled performance at the Tintin Summer Festival.
The 13-year-old entertainer arrived in Kigali on Wednesday, July 29, and is set to perform on August 1 at Sanitas in Kanombe as part of the festival’s entertainment lineup.
Tenge Tenge will share the stage with Rwandan artists including Young Grace, DJ Crush and other performers during the event, which is expected to attract entertainment lovers from Rwanda and the region.
The young comedian gained popularity across social media platforms in 2023 through his humorous dance videos, energetic performances and unique facial expressions that quickly captured the attention of audiences online.
He became widely recognized after videos of him performing to the phrase “Tenge tenge tengerere” went viral, turning him into one of Uganda’s most recognizable young internet personalities.
His appearance at the festival is expected to add a regional appeal to the event, which brings together musicians, entertainers and fans for a celebration of contemporary entertainment.
