The leadership of Zion Temple Celebration Center, part of Authentic Word Ministries and headed by Paul Gitwaza, has announced the postponement of its planned prophetic visit to Israel, citing security concerns amid escalating tensions in the Middle East.
The pilgrimage, originally scheduled for 4–13 March 2026, was called off as hostilities between Israel, the United States, and Iran intensify, involving missile strikes and combat drones that have destabilised the region.
In a statement, the church said: “All participants registered for the prophetic journey to Israel from 4–13 March 2026 are informed that the trip has been postponed due to security reasons. New dates will be communicated once confirmed.”
The pilgrimage is considered a sacred journey aimed at allowing believers to experience biblical sites firsthand, with additional emphasis on learning from Israel’s achievements in agriculture, technology, and national resilience.
Dr Paul Gitwaza said the decision prioritises the safety of participants while maintaining the spiritual and educational goals of the trip.
