Rwandan music star Bruce Melodie has recorded a new song with Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Oxlade, marking another major cross-border collaboration linking East and West Africa’s music industries.
Reliable sources indicate that the two artists met in Paris, France, where they recorded the track shortly after Bruce Melodie performed at a concert in Brussels on March 7, 2026.
The collaboration comes as Bruce Melodie intensifies preparations for his upcoming album, which will follow his 2025 project Colorful Generation released in January. Production for the new album is already underway, with video shoots for several songs reportedly having begun.
Oxlade, whose real name is Ikuforiji Olaitan Abdulrahman, is among Nigeria’s prominent voices in Afrobeats and R&B. The 29-year-old singer has gained international recognition for his distinctive vocals and hit songs such as Away, Ku Lo Sa and Non Living Thing.
This is not the first time Bruce Melodie has collaborated with Nigerian artists. The Rwandan singer previously worked with Joeboy on the popular track Beauty on Fire and also teamed up with Brown Joel on Pom Pom.
The new collaboration with Oxlade is expected to further strengthen Bruce Melodie’s growing influence on the African music scene as he continues to expand his international reach.
