More than 70 partners in Bugesera District have showcased their activities in an annual exhibition aimed at improving livelihoods and strengthening local economic development.
The exhibition, which began on June 24 in Nyamata Sector, brings together development partners working with the district to present services, share experiences, and engage with residents on ongoing development initiatives.
Organised through the Joint Action Development Forum (JADF), the event serves as a platform for collaboration between local authorities, service providers, and communities to promote economic growth and improve service delivery.
Bugesera District Vice Mayor in charge of economic development, Umwali Angelique, said the exhibition plays a key role in linking residents with service providers while stimulating economic activity.
She noted that exhibitors benefit not only through sales but also through feedback from customers, which helps improve and expand their businesses.
Chairperson of the Bugesera JADF, Murenzi Emmanuel, said the exhibition allows residents to better understand development projects implemented in their area and to provide feedback on areas needing improvement.
He said the initiative, which has run for more than a decade, has contributed significantly to improving livelihoods in Bugesera, with partners this year contributing over Rwf 6 billion in support of development activities, in addition to the district budget.
A local vegetable farmer, Ntibabwirizwa Ildephonse from Ngeruka Sector, said the exhibition goes beyond trade, offering farmers an opportunity to gain knowledge, exchange ideas, and improve their work.
The three-day event has attracted residents from across Bugesera and surrounding areas.
