Rwandan singer Bwiza, who is currently in Stockholm, Sweden, ahead of her concert scheduled for Saturday, March 7, 2026, paid a courtesy visit to the Embassy of Rwanda in Sweden where she met with Rwanda’s ambassador to Sweden, Dr. Diane Gashumba.
The meeting focused on Bwiza’s ongoing and future music projects in Sweden, as well as the broader role Rwandan music can play in connecting Rwandans living in Sweden and across Europe while strengthening their ties to their homeland.
Bwiza later shared highlights of the visit on her social media platforms including X, Facebook and Instagram, expressing her appreciation for the meeting with Ambassador Gashumba. She also invited her fans and members of the Rwandan community in Sweden to attend the upcoming concert, describing it as a special event.
The artist arrived in Europe earlier this week, landing in Brussels on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, before traveling to Sweden for the performance.
Her Stockholm show will take place at Boulebar Haga-Solna and will mark the beginning of a series of international performances aimed at promoting her recently released second album titled “Home.”
The concert will also coincide with celebrations marking International Women’s Day, observed globally on March 8 each year.
Beyond the music performance, the event will feature an awareness campaign on the prevention and fight against cervical cancer. According to data from the World Health Organization (WHO), cervical cancer claims the lives of about 1,000 women every day worldwide.
Bwiza is among the young artists who have gained significant popularity in Rwanda’s music industry in recent years. The 27-year-old singer is known for songs such as “Exchange,” “Ahazaza,” and “Ogera,” among others.
